 Main Description

At Hope House, we provide transitional housing and skill-training services for those who want to change their lives. They are families and individuals who have fallen on hard times and want to start addressing the issues that led them to where they are. During their time at Hope House, they are constantly learning and growing as individuals and families, and when they leave they are ready to begin life anew. Supported by 24-hour, seven-day-a-week case management and support services, Hope House residents complete drug and alcohol treatment, get jobs, pay debt, start saving money, and learn about things like credit, anger management, and how to be a better parent.

 Additional Comments

Pathway to Hope capital campaign completed:
Thanks to the support of a compassionate community, a journey that began in 1997 is nearly over as The Salvation Army finishes its fundraising campaign for the expansion of Hope House, our transitional shelter for the homeless.
With all funds raised, the Army will be able to build Hope Village, 12 additional units of family transitional housing, capable of serving a minimum of 90 more children, mothers and fathers (24 more families) each year.
With between 900 and 1,060 square feet, these two and three bedroom units will have their own kitchens and bathrooms giving families a more homelike environment, greater dignity and privacy and most importantly, more opportunities to learn life skills needed to transition into permanent housing.

We couldn’t have done this without the generosity of individuals, foundations and businesses who stepped up to provide us with the money necessary to construct our new family units. We look forward to thanking you in person at our ground breaking celebration which will take place early next year.
